Jim Corbett National Park, established in 1936, is India's oldest and most prestigious national park, named after the legendary hunter-turned-conservationist Jim Corbett. Spread across 1,288 square kilometres of dense sal forests, grasslands and river valleys in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, it is home to over 200 Bengal tigers.
