Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Haridwar → Joshimath
★ Highlights: Drive
Drive from Haridwar to Joshimath along the Alaknanda.
◗ Overnight Stay: Joshimath
Day 2
Govindghat → Ghangaria
★ Highlights: Forest trail
Drive to Govindghat and trek to Ghangaria, the base camp.
◗ Overnight Stay: Ghangaria
Day 3
Valley of Flowers
★ Highlights: Alpine blooms
Trek into the Valley of Flowers amid endless blooms, then return.
◗ Overnight Stay: Ghangaria
Day 4
Hemkund Sahib (optional) Trek 12 km return
★ Highlights: Glacial lake, gurudwara
Optional climb to Hemkund Sahib and its glacial lake, then return.
◗ Overnight Stay: Ghangaria
Day 5
Ghangaria → Joshimath
★ Highlights: Descent
Trek down to Govindghat and drive to Joshimath.
◗ Overnight Stay: Joshimath / Pipalkoti
Day 6
Return to Haridwar Approx. 270 km
★ Highlights: Departure
Drive back to Haridwar / Rishikesh for departure.

- ✓✓ Accommodation in hotels / guesthouses on road sections and tents (twin / triple-sharing) during the trek.
- ✓✓ All meals during the trek (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and breakfast / dinner on road sections.
- ✓✓ Experienced trek leader, local guide and support staff (cook and helpers).
- ✓✓ Common camping equipment — tents, sleeping bags, mattresses, kitchen and dining gear.
- ✓✓ Forest permits, camping charges and applicable trek fees.
- ✓✓ Surface transfers from the base town to the road-head and back, and all presently applicable taxes.

- ✗✗ Air / train fare and travel to / from the base town unless specified.
- ✗✗ Personal trekking gear (shoes, jackets, poles) and personal porter / mule for own bags.
- ✗Meals on road sections other than those mentioned, and personal expenses.
