About Triyuginarayan
Triyuginarayan is an ancient village and temple in Rudraprayag district at 1,980 m, believed to be the exact location where Lord Shiva married Goddess Parvati, with Lord Vishnu presiding and Brahma as priest. The sacred Akhand Dhuni (eternal flame) burning in the temple courtyard — said to have burned since the divine wedding through three cosmic ages — gives the village its name. The ash from this fire is supremely auspicious. Triyuginarayan has become a popular destination for Hindu couples seeking blessings at the site of the divine union.
