Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Haridwar → Joshimath (~300 km)
Drive from Haridwar to Joshimath, stopping at each of the five Panch Prayag confluences. Each prayag (confluence) is a sacred bathing point with its own temple and spiritual significance. Arrive at Joshimath and rest overnight.
Day 2
Joshimath → Badrinath (46 km)
Drive to Badrinath. Bathe in Tapt Kund hot springs, then attend darshan at the magnificent Badrinath Temple. Offer prayers at Brahma Kapal for ancestral rites. Visit Mana Village — home to Vyas Gufa (where Vedas were compiled) and the Saraswati River.
Day 3
Badrinath → Govindghat → Ghangaria Trek
Drive to Govindghat and trek 14 km to Ghangaria — the base camp for both the Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib. Overnight at Ghangaria.
Day 4
Valley of Flowers Trek (6 km)
Trek into the Valley of Flowers — a surreal landscape of over 500 species of Alpine wildflowers spread across a lush Himalayan valley. The colours, fragrances, and silence of this UNESCO World Heritage Site create an experience of profound natural wonder.
Day 5
Hemkund Sahib (4,633 m)
Trek 6 km to Hemkund Sahib — the sacred Sikh Gurudwara at the edge of a glacial lake, encircled by seven snow peaks. Receive langar (community meal) at the Gurudwara and visit the adjacent Lokpal (Laxman) Temple. A place of extraordinary peace and devotion.
Day 6
Ghangaria → Govindghat → Rishikesh
Ghangaria → Govindghat → Rishikesh
Day 7
Rishikesh → Haridwar → Departure
