Darma Valley
A remote trek up the Darma valley near the Indo-Tibet border to the base of the dramatic five-peaked Panchachuli, through traditional Bhotia villages.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Kathgodam → Dharchula Approx. 230 km
★ Highlights: Drive
Drive from Kathgodam to Dharchula.
◗ Overnight Stay: Dharchula
Day 2
Dharchula → Dar → Dugtu
★ Highlights: Valley trail
Drive up the Darma valley and trek to Dugtu.
◗ Overnight Stay: Dugtu
Day 3
Dugtu → Dantu → Base trail
★ Highlights: Bhotia villages
Trek past Dantu towards the Panchachuli base trail.
◗ Overnight Stay: Dantu / Bidang
Day 4
Panchachuli Base
★ Highlights: Glacier base
Trek to the Panchachuli base meadows and glacier views.
◗ Overnight Stay: Bidang
Day 5
Descend to Dugtu
★ Highlights: Descent
Descend back to Dugtu.
◗ Overnight Stay: Dugtu
Day 6
Dugtu → Dar → Dharchula
★ Highlights: Drive
Trek out and drive to Dharchula.

Day 7
Dharchula → Pithoragarh Approx. 90 km
★ Highlights: Drive
Drive to Pithoragarh.
◗ Overnight Stay: Pithoragarh
Day 8
Pithoragarh → Kathgodam Approx. 200 km
★ Highlights: Departure
Drive back to Kathgodam for departure.
