A classic, gradual Kumaon trek to the snout of the Pindari Glacier (Zero Point) through charming villages and the deep Pindar valley.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Kathgodam → Khati base Approx. 180 km + trek
★ Highlights: Drive, short trek
Drive to the road-head and trek to Khati village.
◗ Overnight Stay: Khati
Day 2
Khati → Dwali Trek 11 km
★ Highlights: River trail
Trek along the Pindar river to Dwali.
◗ Overnight Stay: Dwali
Day 3
Dwali → Phurkia Trek 5 km
★ Highlights: Forest camp
Trek to Phurkia through forest.
◗ Overnight Stay: Phurkia
Day 4
Phurkia → Zero Point → Phurkia Trek 12 km
★ Highlights: Glacier snout
Trek to the Pindari Glacier Zero Point, then return.
◗ Overnight Stay: Phurkia
Day 5
Phurkia → Khati Trek 16 km
★ Highlights: Descent
Long descent back to Khati.
◗ Overnight Stay: Khati
Day 6
Khati → Road-head → Kausani Trek + drive
★ Highlights: Descent, drive
Trek out and drive to Kausani.
◗ Overnight Stay: Kausani
Day 7
Kausani → Kathgodam Approx. 120 km
★ Highlights: Departure
Drive back to Kathgodam for departure.
