Overview
The Valley of Flowers, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most extraordinary natural wonders in the Indian Himalayas. Located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 3,658 metres, this enchanting valley bursts into a carpet of over 500 species of wildflowers every monsoon — from Himalayan blue poppies and brahmakamal to rare orchids and medicinal herbs.
This 6-day trek begins from Govindghat near Joshimath and takes you through the charming village of Ghangaria, your base camp. From there, day hikes into the valley reveal an ever-changing tapestry of colour set against the backdrop of snow-capped peaks and cascading waterfalls. The trek also includes a visit to Hemkund Sahib, the highest Gurudwara in the world at 4,632 metres.
Led by certified trek guides with deep knowledge of the local flora and terrain, this trek is suitable for beginners with moderate fitness. It is a journey that rewards not just your body but your soul — a living paradise that has inspired poets, botanists and travellers for centuries.
