About Brahmatal
Brahmatal is a glacial lake at 3,509 m in Chamoli district, one of India's finest and most underrated winter treks. In winter (December–March) the route from Lohajung passes through dense oak–rhododendron forest and the frozen Brahmatal and Begu Tal lakes, offering extraordinary ice and snowscape photography. The summit views of Trishul (7,120 m) and Nanda Ghunti (6,309 m) are outstanding. Less crowded than Kedarkantha and equally magnificent in winter.
