About Har Ki Dun
Har Ki Dun is a pristine cradle-shaped valley at 3,566 m within Govind Pashu Vihar National Park. Surrounded by the Swargarohini peaks (the mythological Pandava route to heaven), the valley retains medieval villages with unique wooden Duryodhana temples — extraordinary in worshipping the Mahabharata's antagonist as a hero. Dense forests of oak, rhododendron, and horse chestnut make the approach trail beautiful in every season.
