About Mukteshwar
Mukteshwar at 2,286 m has three distinct layers: the dramatic Mukteshwar Dham temple at a cliff edge with the Central Himalayan wall behind it, extensive apple and plum orchards managed by IVRI (Institute of Veterinary Research, 1893), and the rock face of Chauli Ki Jali used for climbing and rappelling. The Peora village area (15 km) is one of Uttarakhand's finest agri-tourism destinations with organic farm stays.
Places to See
• Mukteshwar Dham Temple (Shiva temple at cliff edge, extraordinary Himalayan backdrop)
