About Khirsu
Khirsu is a tiny, almost completely undiscovered village at 1,700 m in Pauri Garhwal, 19 km from Pauri, surrounded by apple orchards and dense oak and rhododendron forests. The silence here is complete — no traffic, no markets, no tourist infrastructure beyond two or three small guesthouses and the GMVN rest house. The views of the snowcapped Garhwal Himalaya across the Alaknanda valley are exceptional on clear mornings.
